  • Exhibition of drawings, sculptures and engraving by Matthew Barney developed in relation to his film Redoubt. The works draw on the visual and thematic language of the film, exploring American frontier mythology, landscape, cosmology and systems of control through drawing and sculptural form. The exhibition includes graphite and gouache works alongside large-scale sculptural pieces engaging with material transformation and narrative structure.

Matthew Barney is an American artist and filmmaker whose practice spans drawing, sculpture, performance and film. Working in long-form, process-driven cycles, his work integrates mythological, historical and ecological references to construct complex narrative systems that link body, landscape and material transformation.
