Exhibition of mixed-media installations and a three-channel video by Ebony G. Patterson exploring visibility, violence and social politics through densely layered sculptural works, textile-based compositions and performance documentation. The exhibition centers on Invisible Presence: Bling Memories, a large-scale installation developed in relation to Carnival culture in Jamaica, alongside floor-based works and video addressing systems of witnessing and erasure.
Ebony G. Patterson is a Jamaican-born artist based in Kingston and Lexington whose practice spans installation, textiles, photography and video. Her work examines themes of visibility, violence and cultural spectacle through richly embellished surfaces that combine beauty and discomfort to question how bodies and histories are seen, recorded and remembered.
