Exhibition of works by Dianna Frid spanning sculpture, textiles, artist books, collage and installation exploring language, materiality and geological time through processes of reading, writing and stitching. The exhibition featured selections from Frid’s ongoing Words from Obituaries series alongside large-scale installation and sculptural works developed in response to the gallery architecture.
Dianna Frid is a Mexican-born, Chicago-based artist whose interdisciplinary practice engages text, translation and material processes through sculpture, embroidery, drawing and installation. Her work draws from literature, classical sculpture and textile traditions to examine the physical and sensory dimensions of language.
